Here is an update (I am intentionally burying the lead, jump to the end if you want)
One of the reasons for the delay was over the price; at CES last year we announced the price at $199.95, we really wanted it to be lower than that and we worked very hard with our suppliers to get the price lower. This took some time and is one of the reasons for the delay. We are much happier to be able to offer it at $149.95 and I am told that there may be a ”consumer incentive” to pre-order the VeraPlus.
It will have significantly more memory, a faster processor and two new radios, ZigBee and Bluetooth.
Snabbare processor och mer minne låter väldigt bra i våra öron. Intressant är även att de tar med blåtand, då de förhoppningsvis möjliggör närvarosensorer som använder blåtand. T.ex. Tile. Som ni ser på videon nedan är Tile inte en närvarosensor, utan det är mer en tracker som gör att du kan spåra rätt på nycklar eller liknande. Men samma teknik kan användas för att se om din blåtandstagg är hemma eller inte, vilket du kan använda dig av när du skapar dina regler i Vera. Du kan då skapa regler för när dina barn kommer hem, om din innekatt rymmer eller vad nu din fantasi kan hitta på.
